    • What is Timecode? Understanding the universal clock: Hours:Minutes:Seconds:Frames (HH:MM:SS:FF).
    • Frame rates: 24 fps (film), 25 fps (European EBU / PAL), 29.97 / 30 fps (US SMPTE / NTSC).
    • Transmission formats:
      • SMPTE LTC (Linear Timecode): Transmitted as an audible analog audio signal down standard XLR lines.
      • MTC (MIDI Timecode): Digital timecode transmitted over USB MIDI or 5-pin DIN cables.
      • Network Timecode (ArtNet / sACN / OSC): High-speed IP-based clock distribution.
