Getting Started & Hands-On Guided Tours
The console includes hands-on chapters that guide you through real actions: patching a fixture, producing a first light, saving a scene, building a chase, using a dashboard button and shaping an effect with Node Graphs.
Open a guide
Use the Getting started checklist button to choose a chapter, resume a paused guide or open the current page's short guide. New users can also start from the welcome flow. Console guides are available to signed-in users with the onboarding flow completed, and locally on Unilighter Solo; they are not shown in remote-client, view-only or demo contexts.
Long guides normally begin with a new project. Exception: if a Free account already holds its single allowed project, the guide asks you to open that project. Follow the explicit save step when the guide asks you to preserve your work.
Learn with or without hardware
Without a connected lighting rig, the first-light guide offers a practice rig of four PARs and the visualizer. With hardware, it guides output connection and patching, and offers troubleshooting when the fixture remains dark. Actions advance when their expected result is present; navigation steps ask you to open the next page.
The scene chapter includes pressing a scene again to release it. Creative playback steps explain releasing manual controls when they mask a scene, animation or graph.
Pause and continue
At chapter breaks choose Continue or Explore on my own. The checklist keeps completed milestones and provides a way back to paused work. On resume, the guide can repeat an unfinished action if its popup or other required state was closed. Page guides provide a short explanation and links to full documentation.
If a panel cannot fit beside a control, the first click elsewhere or Escape can fold it without activating the underlying control. Reopen its title bar to read the step again.
On Solo
Solo uses local guide progress without a cloud account. Its local DMX output skips desktop driver/output-selection steps. The checklist reflects that arrangement; if output disconnects, the guide points to the connection status. See Solo, Device Patch and Screens Guide.
