Advanced Playback Settings

Open Settings > Advanced in Unilighter Desktop to choose how playback behaves when the computer sleeps. This preference belongs to this computer and is independent of the open project.

Playback sleep setting in Advanced settings

Include system sleep in playback time

The switch is off by default. Playback time freezes during sleep and continues from the previous position after waking.

Turn the switch on to include the sleep interval in playback time. On waking, running timeline animations advance to their current position; skipped frames are not replayed as a burst. The duration of sleep in this mode is measured from system timestamps, so a change to the system clock during sleep can affect that interval.

The choice applies from the next sleep. A manually paused animation remains paused in either mode. Minimizing the application or locking the screen does not itself freeze playback time.

This setting requires an updated Desktop shell. If the switch is unavailable, update and restart Unilighter Desktop using the update manager. The browser console does not expose this Desktop preference.

Read Time Synchronization for BPM, TAP and timeline timing, or Keyframe Animations for playback and looping.
