The Router Node (RouterNode) dynamically switches a single incoming data stream across multiple output routes based on a numerical index channel.
🔀 Signal Routing Architecture
- Path Index: Selects which output terminal receives the active signal (
0,1,2,3...). - Polymorphic Numeric Routing: Under the Number or Sequence type, the router transparently passes either scalar numbers or multi-element sequence arrays through to the selected output without flattening or truncation.
- Inactive Output State: Disengaged output sockets release their values, allowing background scenes or secondary graphs to take over downstream control.
💡 Practical Stage Recipe
Route an Audio Beat signal to Output 0 and an Automatic Oscillator sequence to Output 1. By toggling the Router index via a Dashboard Function Widget, you can instantly swap a line of moving heads between unison sound-reactive bumps and an animated wave chase without rewiring the graph.
