Maximum Workflow Freedom
Work with the same projects, scenes, node graphs, and animations on a desktop, laptop, or phone—even while you are on the road.
Work with an expansive overall dashboard, multi-monitor setups, high-resolution keyframe animations, and live monitoring during live productions.
Edit your project as a whole—tweaking scenes, dashboards, and node graphs on mobile while backstage or traveling. Cloud sync keeps your main desktop updated.
Connect USB or wireless Bluetooth MIDI surfaces (such as the M-VAVE SMC Mixer) to get physical faders, knobs, and cue buttons on any device.
If your main computer fails before doors open, plug your USB DMX interface directly into your Android phone via OTG cable and run the same 512-channel show without rebuilding it.

When more than one library defines the same fixture, Open Fixture Library is recommended. You can also import Open Fixture Library JSON, QLC+ .qxf files, or DDF XML.

Technical & Operational Details
Clear answers regarding hardware compatibility, DMX output performance, color calibration, and cloud sync.
Usually, no. Most supported USB DMX interfaces work directly in the browser. Plug the interface in, select it in Unilighter, and start controlling lights. Some operating systems and interface models need a driver or system setting, as detailed in the Hardware Compatibility Guide and OS Drivers Manual.
Yes. Standard DMX hardware runs at about 40 frames per second, while Unilighter processes control updates internally at 60 frames per second. This leaves enough headroom for cue triggers, audio-reactive control, and live color changes.
Yes. You can map USB or Bluetooth MIDI controllers on compatible desktop computers and Android devices. Controllers such as the M-VAVE SMC Mixer provide physical faders, knobs, and buttons. See the Hardware & MIDI Bindings Guide.
Fixtures from different manufacturers often produce visibly different whites from the same color value. Unilighter lets you correct white balance per fixture so mixed LED fixtures land closer to the intended color. See the Fixture Editor Guide.
Yes. Use Import in the Fixture Library or the Add Device dialog to search Open Fixture Library, QLC+, the DDF Library, and Avolites D4 by manufacturer or fixture name, preview converted modes, and save a native Unilighter profile. Open Fixture Library is recommended when more than one library defines the same fixture. You can also import Open Fixture Library JSON or QLC+ .qxf files. Review the channel mapping before connecting output. Other console formats such as grandMA, GDTF, and Lightkey remain on the roadmap. See the Fixture Editor Guide.
The Scenario Widget places scenes, keyframe animations, and node graphs inside the performance script. The operator sees the surrounding text and the next action instead of working from cue numbers alone. See the Scenes & Performance Guide and Dashboard Manual.
It provides a quick reference inside Unilighter for fixture placement, patching, color, and movement. It is useful when the physical rig is unavailable, but it is not presented as a photorealistic replacement for a dedicated visualizer. See the Screen Reference Guide.
Yes. Once loaded, the console can keep working offline and the project remains stored locally on the device. Cloud synchronization resumes when an internet connection becomes available.
Free includes the project-building tools and real DMX hardware testing, but continuous DMX output stops after 30 minutes. Reopen the project to continue testing. Pro removes the session limit and supports uninterrupted production use.
Not necessarily. €9 per month is a temporary Open Beta price, discounted from the regular €19 per month price. Renewals use the price and any promotion available at the time of renewal.
Projects, dashboards, fixture profiles, and scenario scripts remain saved in the account, subject to the storage and plan provisions in the Terms. If Pro access ends, some projects may remain inaccessible until the account is upgraded again.
Upcoming Capabilities
These are the next major additions planned after the desktop release, network DMX output, local remote control, and MCP support.
Pre-recorded timeline show playback synchronized to external timecode signals for precise automated productions.
Multiple lighting operators and technicians working together on the same show file simultaneously with instant synchronization.
Open Fixture Library, QLC+, DDF Library, and Avolites D4 import is available now. Next: remaining libraries and profile formats from traditional lighting consoles without rebuilding every leftover profile by hand.
Follow track timing and performance data from the software already running the set.
